Open: Lord, gather up all You've taught me into a faith that is truly my own.
Read: Read Luke 24:13–27 — Jesus shows Himself in all the Scriptures.
Welcome to a special year — your CAPSTONE year, where you gather up everything you've learned and make the faith truly your OWN. We begin with the biggest truth of all: the whole Bible is one story about Jesus. In Luke 24, two discouraged disciples are walking to Emmaus after Jesus' death, not yet knowing He's risen. Jesus Himself joins them, and in Luke 24:27 we read, "And beginning at MOSES and all the PROPHETS, he expounded unto them in ALL the scriptures the things concerning HIMSELF." Look at what Jesus does. He takes the ENTIRE Old Testament — Moses, the Prophets, all of it — and shows how it's really all about HIM. Every part of Scripture, from Genesis onward, points forward to Jesus. Think about what this means for how you read the Bible. The Bible isn't a random collection of stories, rules, and poems. It's ONE unified story with ONE main character: Jesus. The Old Testament promises and points ahead to Him; the New Testament shows Him arriving and finishing His work. From cover to cover, it's about Christ. This is the foundation of your whole faith: God has given us one grand story, and Jesus is its center and hero. As you begin building a faith that's truly your own this year, start here — the Scriptures are all about Jesus. So today, begin your own statement of faith by writing what the Bible is really about, and journal your one-sentence summary.

- All of it? (Yes!)
Remember: "In all the scriptures the things concerning himself" (Luke 24:27).
